Do you have plans to include it in the future
(I do not have flext on win at the moment) ?
Thanks for sharing this work.

Hi List!
I would like to process a live recording video with pure data.
I need to extract bright information of each horizontal video line but I
don't know if there is any external which do that.
Which external or library (GEM, PixelTango, ...) do you recommend me to
process video?
Thanks!

Your will need to edit buildsys/config-platform-compiler-pdormax.txt to
adjust paths to various folders.
Then you will need to edit config.txt file. You do not need to include
SndObj for this external but you do need stk option to be properly set.

Re-run the same build.sh script again to create it (you'll have to run

You can build it yourself. It shouldn't be too hard.
That synth is sick. Reminds me of my days idolizing Ed Rush and Optical.

proving to be quite irritating. After the modifications you suggest
to flstk.h, I am getting the following error:

You know, at least on OS X, stk doesn't have a way to install itself
so I had to guess which files were generated/needed (install.sh is
blank). I ended up copying the .a files (these were generated when I

All right, you'll then have to be patient until I get back home tonight to
see exactly what I did to make this bugger compile on my MBP.

There are probably a few externals that can do this. I have successfully
brought in firewire video with Gem using the pix_video object

Hi all,
i just updated the flext build system in the CVS (currently for OSX
and linux only), which has now better integration of STK and SndObj
support.
It's now configured in the buildsys/config-pd*.txt files, making
respective settings unnecessary for the individual externals.

Just checked it on my OSX machine and what I've done is as follows:
