developed this tutorial that got kinda big.

Hmm, I am guessing its a 10.6 issue. I tried your patch on 10.5.8 using
Pd-extended 0.42.5-2010-05-14 and no crash. Can you make a really simple
patch that triggers the crash every time?

I've been trying to use a big oscilator bank to resynthesize sounds. So I'm
using [sigmund~].
Thing is that I'm realizing it's quite impossible to deal with this as if it
were a Synth/Resynth patch with Fourier Transform. And I mean that it will
always sound jerky, bumpy, jumpy. In

say I got a [send] object and many pairing [receive]... how do you predict
the ordering of messages, or can't you do it at all? Meaning, which receive
will actually receive the data first? The one that was first connected?
My hint is that you have no way to control this

when I re-open the patch, it is drwan and set back to polygon.

There was a discussion not too long ago about suitability of Pd in a live
context (off the smoother audio thread i think). I just wanted to say
that
i use Pd everytime i play a gig with my band
dont know if this is actually a bug, but here it goes
if I create a subpatch and have an [inlet] and then create an [inlet~] to
the left, the parent patch does not draw the corresponding data/audio inlet
correctly, it has to be reopen or copied for that to happen...
By the way, when is it coming

I've been complaining that we should be able to use $0 in messages for
the sake of simplicity. Apparently you can if you use \ before it...
BUT... Pd does not allow you
technical limitations.
I figure it's just a matter of time of developping, a stradivarius isn't
made in decade.

By the way, while toying around with ssb modulation and Amplitude
Modulation, it occured to me that if you feed both modulation a positive
amount, the fundamental keeps the same, and you have a distorted spectrum :)
that's cheap and easy!!!

Sometimes the clicking can be some silly detail like using a 5ms [line~] in
switching the the gain... or some other bug, we'd have to see what you're
doing.
So, I think this is an important myth to get over... I hope this thread gets

I adapted my Live Phase Vocoder Abstraction [LPVoc] to a sample based Phase
Vocoder -- [PVoc].
Works with Mono Stereo, but can be used for more channels. PVoc LPVoc
now come with shy help files, but official manuals are still in their guts.

It is not the first time I see it unstable, sometimes it crashed here or
there in one or another patch, but usually working most of the time.
Now it just about never works. Not in Pd-Extended, and not in Pd-Vanila.

Him there seems to be another bug here on Pd-Exetended 0.41-4. When I go
into an Array's properties and click on view as list I get an error, and
no list.

I find it somewhat annoying that $0 doesn't work on messages, is it really
impossible?
Now, the worst part is that if you need to go to the find menu and search
for $0-something it does not find it!!! Is there any way around it?
