Hello,
I'm looking for an object that sends outs a ramp and starts over from
zero every audio block; is such a thing available or can it be
constructed using other objects ? I'm not able to get this tight timing
mixing messages and audio, especially on larger block sizes.
Thanks

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me how I can send/receive midi clock information from/to
hardware devices? I want to display in pd the tempo used by my drum machine.
Thanks a lot.
Ps: I'm on win XP

hi
I thought i would give GEM a go last night and it seems really
cool...probably an understatement! :)
One thing, i set the antialiasing on with [FSAA 4( and it works, except
that the top left quarter of the gemwin is all glitchy - literally like a
square portion of garbled looking mess with pol

4x AA is a lot to ask of a Geforce4 card. Often a glitch like you describe
is a hardware problem triggered by heat. Try 2x AA.

True, no opengl stuff in Lua, have to get an

Hi david
I made this patch along time ago
to send midi clock to a drum machine. Worked fine, but have not reviewed it
since.
The secret is in sending the correct midi start and midi stop messages.
also the relatoin between the frames and the bpm. Nthing special really.
I have not had the time to
Hi Chris
Yeah I tried FSAA 1 and it still happens, only slightly less so. Guess it
must be the age of the card. I can work fine on FSAA 0 so I'll have to
transfer to a more beefy machine to render it.
Its strange that it only affects a portion of the gem window, why might
that be?
thanks again

Very cool! I don't speak Francois, so I can't gather the basic info. Are you
using Pd/GEM to create static imagery for print? Interesting.
Feel like sharing any patches?

Yeah, it's very nice stuff. When Cyrille was showing me this stuff,
I kept asking "you did this with Pd/Gem?" Cyrille is really pushing
it beyond anything else I've seen done with realtime tools.

Hi all,
attached is the file gl.pd_lua (tested with 0.41-4) which uses some
special lua features to represent a generic opengl function for GEM.
GL objects can be created as e.g. [gl Color 1 1 0] or [gl Rect 0 0 400

Hi,
Yes, I am careful that the total signal pre dac is within range and even
monitor clipping.
I also have a global scaling parameter for the gain across all 6 VFO
[osc~] oscllators.

It looks like there are no more show stopping bugs on Pd-extended
0.40.3, so I think this is the one to release! Please test your
patches with this version, things should all work, or there is a
problem.

Is there an internal message to tell PD to open it's alsamidi ports in
Linux?
Ever since the upgrade to Ubuntu Hardy, the alsamidi startup flag no
longer works.
I opened a bug report on it if I'm not alone.
Thanks.
