I agree too. But in my case I have a minimal setup with OpenBox.
Probably because devs and users have tested more extensively on GNOME
and MACOSX?
Do you guys already have a list of cool tk widgets to use?

That's not completely surprising since Apple is destroying the old, useful
Quicktime and not replacing it with anything comparable. But, hey, your
computer now acts more like your cellphone!

I think good examples for kids would be simple math based sequencers.
Either use a fixed set of pitches that are called by smaller numbers
or use midi pitches, as those will be easier for kids to understand.
I would start off the whole demonstration with frequencies though, and

i don't think i explained the multiplication thing too well, so i just
patched one up real quick.. this one just uses the counter to produce
midi pitches, but you could certainly use it to call steps in a
sequencer. I think this is cool, and it would be a simple and easy
thing to explain to the
The Ttk widgets included in Tcl/Tk 8.5 are meant to be drop-in
replacements for the Tk widgets, but are supposed to look nicer.
That's one collection to start with. There are many other collections
too, like bwidgets.

Hi,
I wanted to ask if someone works/worked with beat detection in style of

can happen. Afaik, there is no external that does this

additions to the code with no refactoring, etc.
that's funny, data structures in pd is quite underdeveloped, and
