Re: [PD] comport on raspberry
hello, if i do : cat /dev/ttyAMA0 | pdsend 1234 127.0.0.1 udp i receive the data just as expected with a netreceive. receiving same data with comport hang everything. ttyAMA0 is the mount point of the serial connection of the pi. i follow this tutorial: http://www.irrational.net/2012/04/19/using-the-raspberry-pis-serial-port/ cheers c Le 28/01/2013 01:52, Hans-Christoph Steiner a écrit : [comport] is quite thoroughly tested so I would be surprised if it is the problem. Re: [PD] comport on raspberry
hello, thanks for the info, that's really weird. i try with 2 different pi , and 2 different installation. /dev/ttyAMA0 is the only serial connection that comport see. and for both card, sending is ok, but receiving did not work well. cheers c Le 28/01/2013 10:49, Pierre Massat a écrit : Hi, I didn't do anything special, i just installed comport and other dependencies for pduino, and plugged my Arduino Uno. Re: [PD] comport on raspberry
hello, i made more tests : minicom works perfectly for both TX and RX. so the serial communication works. but I still have problem with comport. sending is ok, but it receiving did not work correctly : connecting TX and RX, sending on Byte and looking with an oscilloscope, i can see that the value is send over and over, and comport did never receive it. slowing down the pooling speed help a bit : i can receive few bytes, but not in the order I send them, and most are lost. pd hang a lot, and connection crash often. i'm using comport from svn (version 0.2), and pd 0.44.1 what version are you using? according to what i see in pduino, nothing special is made to configure the connection, so things should just work. cheers c Le 28/01/2013 10:49, Pierre Massat a écrit : Hi, I didn't do anything special, i just installed comport and other dependencies for pduino, and plugged my Arduino Uno.
