Thank you very much Ed for your answer and for the attachment! Yes I am using mac, but my final goal is to have the pd file for raspberry pi. I still haven't been successful with the installation of pd on raspberry though (some packages missing and I can not install them). Thank you again! On

isn't readanysf~ just a more comprehensive version of readsf~ ? ie. it plays back files directly from the hard drive? I'd think you'd be best advised to load your samples into tables and play them back with [tabplay~] or [tabread4~] with that many at once. On Sun, Feb 14, 2016 at 1:22 AM,

readanysf~ is ideal for me because I don't have to load *n* samples into *n *arrays where *n *is the number of files in a folder and could be any number. The user might then request a new folder during performance which would then require the number of arrays to change while many sound files are

This is something I did not know about Max. I presume that is only with signal objects as I don't recall seeing that with non-signal ones? Perhaps this would be an opportunity to revisit nlet code to make it more versatile? I have on pd-l2ork's TODO to explore implementing nlets that can split

It would be useful to make a list of things objects often do that abstractions can't (or can't do easily). 1) Variable numbers of xlets (except with initbang and dynamic patching, which is tough to rely on for a library like cyclone) - e.g. [trigger]. 2) Main signal inlets that also take

I added another info that I saw on Max's help file about the maximum delay. When not specified, it is set to 10 ms. Although I included this information, I'm not sure if that's how it works in Pd, so this needed to be checked and corrected if not. Another thing is that I found that the list
