Hi Joseph, No don't do that. you'll get a 0.53.2 Pd (ie, you wont get all the new multichannel stuff). As Christof said all the code it's on pd.dll. You should consult your AVAST settings to try to un-quarantine pd.dll. or use my previous suggestion on GDB-Pd[*] app and new-installer-tool.

This thread is not supposed to handle your particular issue but here we go. there is no chance your machine can't handle the 0.54-0 C code. period. you were able to run GDB-Pd[*] app which is the same C code but in this case pd.dll is much bigger in file size because it has the debug symbols.
