I'm not sure about this one. I like the foreground,
the curving shoreline, and the lower part of the
sky... wintry, with a air of forboding. And then
there is the upper part of the sky, which looks sunny
and happy. Cropping the top quarter or so and
darkening the sky a bit might be an

A lot of us love the old screwmount gear.
The lenses remind me more of the new premium, metal Limited lens line.
Many folks here would be happy to have them,
but nobody wants to take advantage of you.
We shoot with Pentax digital because the film is so cheap... ;-)
Sounds good. We're having a winter storm as well in Michigan. I'm watching
football with the sound off and listening to Willy Nelson. Love his cover of

of subject matter and composition, I llike the first and third very much.

The reason I keep going back to it is because it seems to be a subject that
should make a good image. Unfortunately, I'd been shooting snapshot jpgs just
prior to taking this shot and forgot to switch back to raw which limits the
processing a bit.

Actually the blown highlights are a result of post processing. The histogram
of the original image looks OK regarding highlights but the image had a strong
red cast that I tried to correct. Apparently I went too far..
