I also sometimes have to shift *quickly* from tripod shooting (with pre-fire) to hand-held (without) and vice-versa. You need a button that materialises another K10D. Or a K10D that works like my ist-D does. Which would be more practical when hiking and trying to carry minimum photo gear.
