I used to use an Adaptall-2 300/2.8 on my PZ-1p and MZ-S with the
Pentax-KA adapter. It worked just fine most of the time. But every
now and then the aperture display in the body would switch to "--".

True, however, I haven't seen the K7 at my local BestBuy so being able
to handle it a Fry's (and mounting my own lens & SD card) was all I
could accomplish. I wasn't looking to buy from Fry's, but wanted to
get a feel for this camera.
