Hi all,
Just wanted to share these photos from yesterday. There's a little
redundancy, but not overmuch. The only real interesting tidbit is
that I took the K-x fitted with the Promaster 70-300 f/4.5-5.6
along with the K20D fitted with
Morris, this was a 200 mm F2.8 A Pentax lens...Also Pentax did make a
20 mm F2.8 A lens which I have one. Also have a 20 mm F4.0 M Pentax
lens...
Thanks for the remarks on the photo. I have some other photos of
other children playing, when I get to it I will post them. Again
Thanks, Joe

It's a well-executed photo, but we have so many exit-ramp guys here in
Minneapolis that I just don't even look at 'em anymore.

Drop the in body SR and the pop up flash and I'll bet it could be done.

A question to the more engineering oriented ones on the list. How
hard would it be for Pentax to stick a FF sensor in something like a
K5 body?
Ball peen
Very nice set. Way to early for all of those bugs up here.

These are impressively sharp..and well rendered.
Walt, if you have the time and don't mind, please identify which of these were
taken with the Promaster.
Thanks, much!

I tell ya, it looks a lot more methodical in the photo than it was

We've got a whole gang of bugs down here. I got stung on the neck by a
wasp and on the chin by a bee while mowing just yesterday, in fact. If
you'd like, I can pack some up and ship 'em to you -- I'll even cover

Many thanks, Jack!
The squirrel and the butterfly shots were all taken with the Promaster
on the K-x, and the rest were shot with the K20D and A-50/1.7.
I wasn't crazy about that Promaster when I first got it, but it's
starting to grow on me. I think the smartest thing I did was taking the
It'd be easier to put a 24x36 sensor into a 645D body, and call it the
643D. It might even be possible to redesign it with a shorter
registration distance (and smaller mirror) so you can use K-mount lenses.

Between them they now add up to around $2000 more than I paid.
They're nice glass, but I'd think hard before paying that much.
