My son's 130 pound Golden Retriever is almost 10 and slowed by the

The K-5's shake reduction must be a bit better than the K-x's. I was
able to get reasonably sharp images with it as slow as 1/30 sec., but I
had to brace or rest my elbows on a solid surface to do it.

My 28-80 2.8 Tokina zoom is built like a tank and is better with film than with
digital. The zooms that really seem to have gone up in quality (optical and
build) are the Sigmas and Tamrons, IMO. Since the Tokina is a gift, that trumps
paying for a Pentax, Tamron, or Sigma. :-)

Those photos do a pretty nice job of summarizing my feelings about the
A35-105/3.5.
It's a bit bigger lens but takes nice pictures...and it's an A series
too! (no green button needed)
