"Dekko" is fine by me - or maybe "squizz" or (less common) "Captain Cook".

Some yers back, I stopped at a small Vermont town on my way to Hanover, NH.
On the porch of the general store, chatting with the owner, I noticed that
there were two signs at the corner. Each said "Hanover," and each had an
arrow, but the arrows pointed to two different road, at 90 degrees to

Same here. I set up a free 500px account
Flickr had been worth the $20 or so a year for the storage, but they've been
working hard at adding suckage.

Larry's who you should ask about that. I don't know if he's got a paid
account with Flickr or not, but he's got beaucoup albums.

Then there's no reason at all for not having a free Flickr account. I've
had one for years and I don't think I've ever seen an AD?

Can't help with "photo dot net", but the forgetting part is easy.
Next time you do finally figure out how to do it, write it down step by
step and tape the instructions to the wall above your computer monitor

This afternoon I took a dekko at a full Sable Dam. The Parks Board is on the
ball - all the gravel approach roads have been graded & filled where
necessary. The first shot is from more of less the same spot as that

I went so far as to have a paid 500px account for one year and I
thought it was pretty good. Then.
But I dislike it a lot now, and have abandoned ship. Haven't posted
there in many years. They have made changes since then, but afaict
it's still a pale imitation of Flickr for features (eg groups,

That is precisely my problem. It is easy to uplaod images, but very
difficult to get them into the proper galleries and to obtain usable URLs
for either an image or a gallery.
RGH!
You can easily compile albums in the free version of Flickr.

Dave, are you sure that unpaid Flickr doesn't let you make albums? I
mean, have you tested lately? They made major changes to the "levels"
a few years ago and made Free the one-size-fits-all choice. They made
the upper limit on image storage huge (like no limit?), and made many
"pro" features
I can upload no sweat. Its getting them with a sharable url and into a
gallery that still gives me headaches. It was so much easier before. I
upload the shots and select galleries for them but they dont seem to
go where they are supposed to go. I have a flickr account, it might
just get upgraded
