There was one very clean example that I saw here on Saturday.
Rick, I'll be in and around the NYC/CT/Lower Westchester area from 18 to 30
SEP. If you're going to head there, we'll need to coordinate a time/place; I
already have several commitments planned but there's a good bit of time
I saw one of those (beautifully restored) tooling along near Oxford

Godfrey, do you plan to visit NYC, and if so when? I may try to get up there.

Nice shot. While there is no fit in his beak, he has one in his gullet. I’ve
seen that look before, right after they swallow. The dark color is mainly a
function of the light.

Thanks to all who've commented!
Ann: I'm on the island until Tuesday, 04SEP, staying at my friends' home in
Ballaugh Curraghs. Then I'm over to Liverpool on the way to Cambridgeshire,
Oxfordshire, and London. Back to the USA (Boston first) on 11SEP.

The Baobab in front is deciduous while the Red Essenhout behind is
evergreen. We are just moving into spring so the Baobab will soon begin

Thanks, Ann.
Both parts of La Petite Pierre have beautifully restored buildings
right next to ones that are literally falling down. The old section
seems to have more of the latter; though we saw a couple of
nice-looking hotels and cafes that wait until the tourist/vacation
season to open.
