It sounds like half the problem with my original K-5II.  It would do something like that about 1/3 of the time it malfunctioned.  It started out just missing an entire color channel recording a magenta image, then the mirror started to filp but the shutter wouldn't cycle.  Then the mirror

While I was out the other night I somehow managed to activate an internal timer with AstroTrace turned on and it locked the mirror up while it took a 5 minute exposure. I thought the battery had died. Turning the camera off allowed the mirror to come down, but as soon as I turned it back on &
