nothing wrong with either lens or camera bodies except for the fact that
when that Vivitar lens was designed, the designers could not have
anticipated that Pentax would stick their Power-Zoom contacts in the way of

All the Pentax AF bodies released in North America (anyone correct me if I'm
wrong) have always had provision for the Cable Switch-F! It was never a
consideration to not have that.

Yup! It's plastic...same on the 77mm 1.8. This doesn't seem to be a prblem
