Really, I'd rather drop it off at a charity shop than go thru the
ebay hassles.
Just looking to unload it on someone who would use it.
Not looking for the earth here. Sorry to be a bother
and all.

a normal to tele lens with
no wide angle at all. But the kit lens (18-55 I think) looks
like junk and is not much in the tele department either. So then
I'm back to carrying several lenses which can be a royal pain
under some circs. How do y'all handle this?

Hey Gang,
I recently read some online reviews of a Tokina
28-105 AF lens to fit Pentax AF cameras. It
sounds like a really solid lens with a metal body.
Problem is, I can't find one anywhere. Anybody
have good sources for these older lenses? Where do
old lenses go once the major retailers tire
Only Tokina like it on BH I could find was a 28-105
Manual Focus (not AF). Maybe I'm jes' not
searching right?

BH has these on their web site (assuming it's the current version you seek).

Chuck,
I have one of them. I bought it from a local store a while back. I
can see if they still have some stock left if you're interested
for that lens that will give
at least as good image quality but much improved
durability and construction quality.
thanks,

, at home, I looked closer at the lens, saw nothing
unusual, and tried to move the zoom ring again. It
quite suddenly freed up. And now the AF works jes'
fine again.
What might have happened? And should I get it looked at
now, even though it seems to be well again.

My
name is Chuck Riccardo - As I am nearing retirement age, I thought I would get
into medium format cameras and travel a bit with them. I would love to hear from
some of you that use this format, but all I seem to see on this newsgroup are
things called MZ and the like, which I assume
outings, I also long for a secondary
system to just have for casual use. Smaller and
lighter sure sounds good to me, and if that applies to the MZ and LX I will
go look at them. Thanks

Does this lens require a thin filter or will a standard work even down to
