default.

I'm pretty sure they killed the Q because there was no where to go with
it.
Never looked at the PEN camera's Got the original Q for fun for a nice
price which I couldn't resist and since then I'm hooked on the Q. The
raw files are perfect, and I'm a real pixel peeper. The little lenses
are real gems.
My 08 wide zoom on a Q-S1 is as good as my DA12-24 or DA*16-50 on a K5!!!
I'm pretty sure they killed the Q because there was no where to go with
it. The sensor was already pushing resolution limits, the form factor
was already too small for a decent powered battery to improve
performance, as well as being less that optimal for heat management.
Pretty much any imp
The 08 is a real gem. LR has a profile for it. allmost a macro wide angle
The 06 tele zoom and 01 are also excellent. I had to get three copies
of the 02 standard zoom to get a good one.
If you put a raynox 150 or 250 in front of the 06 tele you get an
excellent tele macro.
and if you get a Metx
Thanks Toine!
Actually I had to order the Q/K adapter from B&H, so I ordered the wide angle
too while at it. :-)
Now I really look forward to testing it.

I thought the same thing but was not able to get stacked images that
were as good as APS-C work, but I was just getting started with focus
stacking when I experimented with it and gave up on the Q quickly.
The issues I ran into were that that Q's sensor, even at ISO, if fairly
noisy and focus

Wait, this was a big deal on the list a few years ago. Cotty, are you
having memory problems?

Mark,
Very happy to read your considerations about macro. I had thoughts along
similar lines, but actually for extreme macro studio work. Controlling
vibration at 4X and beyond can be a pain. A setup that requires less
magnification to fill the frame could be a good thing if the image quality is
Depends on camera Mode, I guess.

I have the original Q, not the Q7. It's a fun system though I haven't
used mine in a long time. Back in the days when I traveled for my job I
took the Q kit on the road with me -camera , fisheye, normal zoom and
tele-zoom - a small, light but versatile kit.
And as an update to the copy of this
Looks nice -- in black and silver, at least.
How much?
