Dan, my favorites are:
1. Snail and Trail. It can be rendered in even more fascinating manner, IMO.
2. Whale Tail. Well, obviously.
3. Pick-off. I couldn't possibly comprehend the baseball meaning of the
word or photograph, but the split second you caught with your photograph
is superb.
4.
Nice gallery. Love morning rays through clouds (and glad to see you do
more than macros :-)).

Except for the past month, and one or two flower parts photographed
with a non-macro zoom lens, I almost never take macros. In fact,
until quite recently, most of my images were travel and other
landscapes.
I'm still taking macros, but in secret now. Along with severely
out-of-focus street

A choice gallery, Dan. My faves are the sandcrab and the snail. I like
how the spiral shell's curve is echoed in the tree bark. Your timing
was perfect.

Thanks, Bob, Christine and Bruce!
The sand crab was a lucky catch. I was taking a wide shot of our
favorite Maui Beach (Keawakapu) early in the morning, and I noticed
not the crab but the shadow, and it immediately grabbed me. The image
pretty much took itself. Sometimes being there is the

Morning Rays is my personal favorite of the year. I have taken dozens
of images at Haleakala each of the 6 or 7 times I've made the trip to
the summit over the past 20 years, but this may be the one that most
pleases me.
