Many of the better photogs shoot several rolls of 35mm per day just for
practice. I know of one who religiously shot three rolls a day just to
keep his eye and reflexes sharp. Another that I heard about was on
vacation for a month and bought about 1000 rolls to use during that period.

The film was all Tri-X, I believe. IAC, all conventional BW. The photog
usually processed the film himself, only relying on outside labs or
assistants when absolutely necessary. BTW, this was several years ago.
Regardless, he is a ~very~ successful photographer.
