I took my 24-48 to Bele Chere '04 a month or two ago in Asheville, it seemed ideal except it's so freaking huge. ...and wobbly ...and too tight in the focusing and zoom rings. But that's just mine. I'm tempted to get a SMC Pentax-M 24-35 or 24-50. Or even an aftermarket 19ish-35ish.
