SA has quite a variety of terrains. The Eastern Escarpment is known for
its Green Canyons. This is a smaller one. Sadly, the rolling hills have
been taken over by commercial forestry, mainly Pine, Eucalyptus &
Wattle. Sarcastically known as "the green cancer".

The old Pine trees have all been cut down for income. Clearing up is
still under way & new Pines are being planted.

You look to be in pretty good shape in the last pic. All clothing present, no
bloodstains, still upright.
Two hours is moving well for 5km and 600m vertical. In the guidebook for New
Hampshire's White Mountain
Interesting gallery. From the images alone (without the Zebra's) I
would never have guessed SA. Would love to walk that track.

Yes, very tough. The main problems were water seepage & the rocky paths
with the soil washed off. I imagine it would be a lot easier in dry
conditions.
