Both eagle shots are good, but I personally prefer the one without the
large expanse of white sky (the one with more tree). It doesn't show
as much of the eagle but is a stronger image overall (IMHO).

Loved going on this birding trip...
My very faves are the loon with the "drone", the 3 darning-needles or
dragonflies (MARk C has toname those for us) the Extreme close-up
and the spring blossoms.)

Stan,
Great start for your portfolio.
And that Eagle fly-over looks fantastic.
The K-5 has an amazing capture of shadow detail.
The 3 blue dragon flies on the green plant are still a favorite.
Lots of the bird/duck close-ups are new to me and special, love the
mussed feathers.

Thanks Ann! I'll assume you are correct, but FYI, the locale was Puerto Rico in
February. Which wouldn't preclude the Phoebe, but does open up other
possibilities from further south . . .

For a nature photography workshop I am taking part in (in Michigan's Upper
Peninsula starting this Sunday evening), I am supposed to bring along some of
my recent work. I've put together this "best of" collection, still need to
