Hello Jay, The heron looks reasonably sharp. I don't know how much you sharpened it in software, so I can't comment about stopping down more. For the picture involved, it seems to be enough DOF. The bokeh in the background seems a bit harsh - I don't recall seeing that from my lens - I'm going
