Gosh, that's true!
I tried my 40MZ-2 with the SCA3702 on the K100D, and in fact ISO,
aperture and focal length (from F[A] lenses) are transmitted to the
flash when the latter is set to A. This is the no-brainer it should be,
at least the flash can do what the camera lacks. Results look

SCA 3702 which is the adapter for almost all Pentax cameras.
According to Metz' chart the *istD and the *istDS do TTL but TTL
*only* which seems odd.
The *ist, *istDL, K100D, K110D are all listed as manual or automatic
modes only.

On my 40MZ-2 TTL didn't work very well, but automatic did work very well. The
ISO and aperture were transmitted to the 40MZ-2, so it was easy to work with.
