iView MediaPro would do this very nicely, and it is cross-platform
(Mac OS X and Windows). See

But it isn't freeware or shareware. It's about $200 application. You
get what you pay for. :-)

I think Irfanview might be
Picasa, from Google, would be the obvious choice. It even has basic
editing capabilities.

Sounds like a job for Raw Shooter Essentials, but wait, Adobe bought
them and killed the product. It may still be available on line until
the release of Lightroom but no more updates will be forthcoming.
