Nice! Looks a lot like our current cat, I'll have to start uploading
some of mine...

Great shot, excellent color and sharpness.
There is something that bothers me about the composition, but I can't figure
out what. Maybe trim a little off the right, but that is just picking nits.
I wouldn't worry about the ear, that's what it took to put the eye at the right
height.

Okay, normally cat shots leave me kind cold -- but this one is different
because the cat is doing something different. Good one, good focus too
(sharp hairs, blurred background).

a few minutes, myself, trying to figure out how to present it. In
hindsight, I think I might have been better off going with a vertical
orientation.
Thanks for the input.

One of the best cat pix I've seen for a while.
Excellent!

That rare thing, an Internet Cat Photo with refreshing content. Looks

Thanks, Paul.
As an artist, I feel it's my duty to subvert conventions like the

That's good, Walt. I like the detail and the light. Might have liked
to see more ear, but that would alter the compo a lot, so I dunno.

For what it's worth, I feel exactly the same about the ear. I'm sure
I'll be back to take another whack at it, but I promise not to inflict
