Mark,
I'm a big fan of Holgas and other toy cameras. The other day I pulled a
lens off a Holga, drilled a hole in a Pentax K body cap, and glued the
lens into place. As a result, my K mount bodies are now focus-free and
have that nice Holga-ish look that comes from using a single element

Hi Juan -
I must of been in one of my off list periods back when you posted that
(or I just missed it) - but that looks to be pretty close to what I
But - my Holga lens has the plastic lens element in the front of the
assembly, with the aperture behind it. Did you re-arrange things somehow?
Yes, in order to get it to focus to infinity. Can you focus correctly
without putting the lens closer to the film plane?
Any sample shots on line

Could you be a little more specific? Does the lens readily come off the
Holga? Did the lens need any spacing on the body cap to be in focus? I like
the effect very much. Great job!

Thanks Bob. I counted about 25 flags on the ground, but this

Thanks, Walt. The lens just twisted off - this was a newer Holga I
bought in 2005. I

Thank God you were able, after all these years, to finally put an Optical

Much better quality images than you'd normally expect from a Holga, but
still having some of that plastic lens naivety that give the Holga it's
charm. (If the damned things hadn't gotten so expensive I'd be inspired
to try this myself).
Another example of crap QC. :-P

Interesting, last time I saw a price for one it was a lot more than that.

Can't be very good, I saw no mention of an aperture simulator.
