I have a Celestron 11 EDGE (Schmidt-Cassegrain) that I have tried
using my K-3 on for planets and the moon. I have had some success
with lunar photography but no luck with Mars, Jupiter of Saturn.
Shooting individual shots usually turn out blurred due to atmospheric
turbulence. The current fash
Mine wasn't as sophisticated as that - manual control only but I suppose
the flexible hand drives could have been connected to a motor. Newtonian
too. Optics much better than the refractor.

Newtonian. Fairly good optics, but the motor on the mount burned out, so
that it no longer tracks well, making sharp focus difficult.

I had one of those long ago. Had a 3" refractor before it. Never used
them with a camera though. Is yours Newtonian (side view) or Cassegrain
(end view) ? The mirror lenses are Cassegrain. One can use them with an
eyepiece adapter as a telescope (any lens, in fact).

I do have an M 42 to K mount adapter, but I haven't used it for quite a

You may need to spend another $10 for this

Last week Jupiter was so clear and bright in the sky I decided to try
getting some photos of it with my Sigma 50-500 to see how many moons I
could photograph.
While I was processing photos I decided to try something silly and see
how much detail I could pull out of Jupiter. These involve some
