Think about it different way. In a million years no trace of these
shopping baskets neither other junk will be present on earth. There may
and most likely not be a trace of human race at all... Cockroaches and
reptiles has better chances to survive and they care very little about

This part of this stream runs behind a supermarket, so it's not
uncommon to see trash at this spot, but this is the worst that I've
seen. I'm not sure if it's bums or teenagers that are doing this.

That sucks. But may I ask non-judgementally, is there something you
can do to ameliorate the problem? I'm afraid we're more or less stuck
with a segment of society who neither respect other people or the
planet. If it were me, I might clean up the the mess and post a small,
rather inconspicuous
I've thought about that, and I'm not sure what the answer is. I
pulled one of the carts out of the water, but I was in between
errands, so I didn't have a lot of time.
Like a lot a rivers in the northeast, this one has lots of random
garbage and is polluted with PCBs, and it's a full time job
