This is another version of Snow in the City, taken a minute or so earlier. The out-of-focus is perhaps not as obvious, although pretty much the same. It lacks the color of my original Snow in the City post, however, so I like the original one better, even with the more obvious focus problem.

Dan, After reading the whole thread, let me hake a suggestion. Larry's Hyperfocal Distance by using the scale on the lens isn't bad, but you might want to combine a flash with this to light the flakes. This will make them stand-out. Regards, Bob S. On Wed, Jan 2, 2013 at 9:20 PM, Daniel J.

I think it would work if the snow had been falling a lot harder, so that the visible snow in the foreground gives your brain a reason for the background being OOF. From: Daniel J. Matyola I agree. What I wanted was the snow more in focus than the background, but the background just a LITTLE

I agree. While we had almost two inches at home (New Jersey) there was only a brief and light show shower in the city. That made it easier to grab a cab, but harder to grab an image of the falling snow. Dan Matyola http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola On Thu, Jan 3, 2013 at 4:47
