Rhode Island have more or less failed, as are the Krispy Kremes. Some
people would say they didn't keep the same quality once they expanded,
but I had Krispy Kreme donuts in Atlanta and I wasn't all that impressed.

Krispy Kreme is mostly dead now, if not burried yet.
Their main selling point was freshness and SUGAR.
Everything was overly sweet.
Dunkin Donuts couldn't let them into New England.

The Howmtown Bakery, now sadly gone, made small crispy donuts that were
