A friend is looking for decent quality lens with a 300mm tele
capability, at least. This is out of the range of my experience in
Pentax lenses.
Anyone worked with the FA-J75-300? or the Sigma 135-400? I know the
Sigma 50-500 has a big following, but it's pricier than he can
afford. The

Anyway, I found it to be a VG to E+ lens, especially when factoring in
price.

Unfortunately, I don't have experience with either.
I've been using Tamron 70-300 4-5.6 LD/Macro that I bought
back in 1998. It is a reasonable lens. I found that the quality
of the photos is comparable to what I am getting with SMCP-F-70-210
in the same range of focal lengths.
