IIRC, Macs once used a gamma of 1.8; but a few OS versions ago decided to
join the PC world at 2.2.

I use an X-rite Eye-One by GretagMacbeth. Very easy to use - way more user
friendly than a Spyder! I have had both and much prefer the Eye-One.
Your image looks just ever so slightly warm on my monitor. Man, she must
have some wild hair under that scarf!

Datacolor (http://spyder.datacolor.com/) has a wide line of products
at a variety of prices; quite likely your local camera store will have
one or more. Probably plenty good unless you're a professional-grade
