It is against the wind both ways often! The george wind rips through the
valley during the winter. During the day it blows east, at night it blows
west, which puts me against it on the way in to work, and against it on the way
home.

Sounds a lot like too much tension on the spokes.

What are you doing to your poor wheels? I'm hard on wheels (~250lbs
and not a finesse rider) and I get at least 2-3 years out of a set of
machine-built wheels. Handbuilt wheels should last until you wear
through the rim barring accidents. My current commuter ride has 3
years on a XT/Mavic X517 comb
Well, I remember riding against the wind both ways once. 70 miles in a 35mph
headwind is kind of tiring, IIRC.

My problem has been health, hills, and local helmet law. Not much I seem to be

A more genteel way of saying that
Happy snow day, Tom. We got a foot. I'll bet you don't score quite that much.

I am wearing my sense of humor today, luckily for you. Besides we are busy

Actually Tom doesn't sleep in a bed - you'll find him hanging upside

That's not exactly true, when the bottom fell out of the film camera
market I picked up most of the screw mount gear I wanted. I have a
"classic" 35mm kit in screw mount, an SMCT 35mm f3.5, an SMCT 50 f1.4,
and a SMCT 135 f2.5 with a Komura Telemor II 2x converter for extra

Chuck,
No intent to offend you.
A lot of us love the old screwmount gear.
The lenses remind me more of the new premium, metal "Limited" lens line.
Many folks here would be happy to have them,
but nobody wants to take advantage of you.
We shoot with Pentax digital because the film is so cheap... ;-)

I'm not sure if this is a tounge in cheek response or your serious.
Yes most of us here are shooting digital, and yes i made what should
have been taken as a humorous response, but to say no one is
interested in film cameras is absurd.
Everyone here has or still has old film cameras somewher
A bit of silliness from Tom. But that's okay. In fact, many of us have
Spotmatics. I have three and quite a few lenses as well. I just don't need
another. And no, most of us don't shoot much film. And yes, many of the pics we
take could have been taken with a cell phone. But so too many of the p

I can understand your feelings, you come top what claims to be a Pentax camera
list and find no one interested in Pentax cameras. It is now the "pentax

I'd use it, but I'm not close enough for a simple drop-off. Try your

Chuck,
Describe each lens like SMC Takumar 135 f3.5 in whatever condition
with clean glass. (or Super Takumar, or...)
Add a good picture of the front and one from the side.
End the auction on a Sunday if you can...
There is still an active market for Pentax screwmount lenses.

Yes, I agree with Bob. Don't put it all up as one lot - you'll get a better
total price individually.
As to the price you can expect, it's difficult to say. The best idea is to do
a bit of searching on ebay for the same or similar items and see what they go
for. There's quite a bit of Spotma
ebay. One piece at a time. Quality pics of equipment required for best
price.

Bob...
