Thanks, Walt, and thanks for the link, That mass ascension was
impressive indeed. I note that they were all standard balloons, with
none of the special shapes that are popular in our festival.

They certainly go to a lot of trouble with custom made balloons over there.
Very appealing. Over here, I've only seen some in the shape of beer soft
drink bottles. Now I'm waiting for some of your on-board shots!

Dan,
What a wonderful thing to be at, a balloon festival!
I'm enjoying your shots.

Fortunately, the festival is at a small airport just a couple of miles
from our home. That way, I could make the 6:00 AM mass inflation and
6:30 AM mass ascension, rather than fighting the traffic to get to the
ones at 6:00 -- 6:30 PM.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Don!
It is indeed an expensive endeavor. Many of the balloons are owned or
sponsored by corporations, and they travel all over the country at
various festivals and fairs. When he was still alive, Malcom Forbes
had his own balloon, advertising Forbes magazine,
Most impressive balloon. Brilliant colours.
Love it!

Thanks, Frank. This is a brand new balloon and the colors are bright
and dense, compared to the normal balloons.
