I have 3 x 2GB Transcend 150x cards and they perform great. Yes it is
true that the fit in the K10D slot is a bit snug but after a few times
in and out of the slot they work just fine.
I did not need to sand down the label.

encountered no problems with CF cards.

Seconded. I've come to despise those teeny SD cards.
With any luck, the next top-end Pentax will take both types of card.

I disagree. Neither card is any more fragile than the other. The
difference between them mechanically is that the SD card has a small

The CF cards are sturdier overall. Yes, there can be pin alignment problems,
but the cards themselves are much less fragile.

Why? I see no great advantage to CF over SD.
I've had equipment that used both of these card types for a long
time. I find the SD format easier to manage because they're smaller,
but there's nothing much in either direction to choose between them. d

Somehow I agree about your CF cards comment Paul ;)
As for SD cards, one point might be warranty differences? How is
Transcend warranty and how serious are they if there's a problem?
Also, I might remember badly but I remember ExtremeIII are quite a bit
faster than Transcend 150X.
