Since I bought the 31 Ltd shortly after acquiring all these lenses, it
just didn't make sense to leave this fine lens at home while being out
testing even older classics. No regrets on my part.

You are quite right, Tim. However, I ended up purchasing the 31 Ltd
when the opportunity presented itself so this Vivitar has not been
used much.
Still looking for a new home...

But I CAN tell that the Komine below is a mighty fine lens.
If you're looking for a affordable fast manual focus auto 28mm, then
that's the one.
It is sharp (if you add a bit extra contrast in PP), well built, and
focuses rather close for a wide angle
