I got a RMC Tokina 17mm f/3.5 for £50 (about $75) which was a bargain.
I've seen them go for over twice that. It's a great focal length.
Obviously not a world beater, but it's reasonable as long as you stop

For screwmount try to find a Mamiya 21mm F4.
It's sharp even in the corners. About $150.
There is also a screwmount Zeiss Flektogon
20mm F2.8 and F4 that are supposed to be good.
About 200-300 bucks though.
