I regularly use the FA 35/2 on the K-5 or K-70 when I prefer to have a
compact set with me. I'm always happy with the results.
Reading the positive test results from Yoshihiko Takinami on his
website was the reason for me to buy this lens around the millennium change.

You’re right. Duh.
I had a 35/2 at one time. Rarely shoot wide angle so I parted with it. Now down
to 77
I have had one since it was first announced and guard it zealously. I'd
imagine other owners are just as protective. Looking at my current
catalog, I see it is eclipsed only by the FA50 1.4 in number of photos
produced.
I'm not certain how many were produced but I'm damn glad I got one.
