DOF characteristics change with optical design.
Then there's construction tolerances. A minute difference
in the actual diameter of the iris can change DOF
noticably on 35mm. You won't see it in landscapes
but you could easily see it on close-focus work.

Is the dust even noticeable in a print Daphne? Sometimes it can look bad but
not affect print/picture quality.

well, until you compare the print to the identical one taken with the
50/1.4-A, all looks good. once you do compare them you see that the pics
taken with the K lens are slightly less sharp and constrasty... also the
dept of field seems to be different (at the same aperture, the pics
taken with the
