Sorry, I've confused you:
After you've pointed out that there are several photos, I've found those.

There are some pan heads with plates that flip 90 degrees, (or anywhere
in between, though I don't see the point really, if you want that get a
ball head), but the good ones are more expensive than the average ball
head, and the not good ones you don't want.

I didn’t watch the video very far. I suspect the allen wrench you refer to is
to adjust the Universal to your particular camera body, a one-time process.
I find it quite fast and simple to flip from horizontal to vertical with an
L-bracket using a tripod. Unclamp, flip, set in place, clamp.

Many thanks to all who responded.
I have several followup questions.
1. L-brackets (acratech).
I am confused, maybe I am just slow... but it seems to me that flipping
between the two orientations is not quick. I watched this video, and
toward the end, it shows that an alan wrench is needed
Larry, yes, but a ball head requires tightening.
Think of a flash bracket: it doesn't. A flip is much easier and quicker.
And then, if you are completely leveled (shooting up or down), you'd still
need some tilt from the head but in the orthogonal direction (forward

L brackets for camera bodies are normally associated with a quick release plate
and receiver. Changing orientation from landscape to portrait simply and
quickly involves releasing the quick release, reorienting the camera body and
tightening the quick release. It's quicker than I can type this

Larry,
Thanks for your compliment and comments.
The exposure was already increased 1/2 stop. I tried more, but didn't care for
the effect.
I also tried the mono at your suggestion. It seemed to lose a lot without the
rich colors of the stump and foliage.
Cheers,
Rick

I just read something about it, where someone says it works in TTL with

HI Larry,
I use the V6 not the V6ii, and I'm not sure of what added features
there are, but it seems to include high speed sync. The system
essentially gives you manual control of remote flashes via radio. Not
TTL control.
You set one unit on your camera as a transmitter and each remote flash
