The back lighting & glare was terrible. That's about as good as I could
get. Also, the shutter speed was a bit slow (1/1000) for H/H

About sharpness: with most Pentax camera's I think there is only one
acceptable setting for wild life that is AF-S with spot AF aiming for

Larry, I used a pocket flashlight above the mushrooms. Part of the light on
the edges is already shown on the raw pics which are in focus.
Final sharpening amplifies this edge effect I guess.
In focus stacking I introduced some ghosting effect (my enemy) that I have
to remove

LOL! I certainly *own* more than one camera and one lens. That said, I usually
don't *carry* more than one camera and one lens at a time.
On a trip, I usually carry two-three lenses… or a zoom… and end up using one
focal length more than 90% of the time. :)

Take ONE camera, ONE lens, only shoot in B+W (film) or large/fine jpeg in MONO,

Yes, the gentleman on the right did get his order… his expressions were more
the result of the conversation he was having with the unseen person further to
the right … his spouse or girlfriend, I couldn't tell.
My Saturday morning walking group gathers there for breakfast, and
that's a great photojournalistic shot. the disconnected sad world we
are in. BTW, did the guy on the right ever get whatever theey forgot to
bring him?
and what were you doing sitting at a conferance tables :-)
