I think you'll find that just about all your immigrants fit that
description, not least the earliest ones (well, since 1492, anyway).
Nowadays, American emigrants fit the description too.

Actually immigrants (people looking to join a different culture) are a fairly recent thing. Invaders (people looking to impose their culture on others) are a far older thing. And even older is one people pushing another people
