Re: Mouse/trackball question
Have two of the M575s in use, a spare, and an older version. All have worked just fine for me. However, bearings and sensor window do seem to need periodic cleaning. Track ball pops out easily to enable cleaning and pops back in with no problem, for me anyway. Went with trackball some years ago as mouse and pad just didn't work in my preferred workspace. Re: Mouse/trackball question
Thanks for the offer, Mark! Mine has the ball on the side, so that one uses one’s thumb. The fingers are for buttons and a scroll wheel. I took the thing apart, gave it a good cleaning, and it seems to be working okay again. Re: Mouse/trackball question
I use the MX master 3 mouse. Very expensive for a mouse but a pleasure to use. It's possible to tweak the buttons for specific apps. for instance change the horizontal scroll wheel for lightroom sliders. They have or had a MX ergo trackball and vertical mouse On Wed, 15 Mar 2023 at 15:28, Paul Sorenson wrote: > You might take a look at the Logitech MX3. Not a track ball, but very > programmable. You might take a look at the Logitech MX3. Not a track ball, but very programmable. Re: Mouse/trackball question
I had one of those Logitech trackballs a long time ago. It worked, but I went back to a mouse after using it a while. Went through a couple of different Apple mouse units, finally the wireless Magic Mouse, and then the Magic Trackpad came out. I've used the Magic Trackpad ever since, can barely use a mouse now. Re: Mouse/trackball question
A Wacom tablet is best but there’s a learning curve. Although I think you’ll spend some time growing accustomed to any new tool. Me? I use Apple’s Magic Mouse. A Mickey Mouse device, but I’ve been using a conventional mouse in photoshop for 25 years. Mouse/trackball question
I have been using a Logitech trackball for my photo computer for years, and it is wearing out. It has a red ball operated by one’s right thumb, and a vertical scroll wheel and two buttons operated by index and second fingers. What should I replace it with? I have a Kensington Expert Mouse on my work computer; it has a huge trackball, four buttons, and a scroll wheel surrounding the track ball. I tried it on the photo computer and it was awkward.
