PESO x2: Petrified Forest

A couple of views of the petrified forest at Curio Bay on the Catlins Coast. These are old 6x7 scans that I've just processed (in one case, re-processed). http://gallery.multi.net.nz/photo/42/#peso http://gallery.multi.net.nz/photo/1185/#peso Both taken with Pentax 6x7 and 45mm f/4. Cheers,

Beautiful scenes, well captured, Dave. I'll bet it often looks rather different. I can make out some of some fossilised logs in the first image. We have some on the Transkei Wild Coast but I have but I have never been there. I have seen museum exhibits clearly showing the fossilised rings.

Re: PESO Late spring snow

Thanks Alan and Henk for the comments - and anyone else who had a look.  Snow doesn't last long here this late in the season, but it's short-term hazardous with poor visibility and slippery roads. -p On 4/1/2022 5:57 AM, Henk Terhell wrote: Paul, you're not the only one having late snow.

If you click on, or search for somebody's name in Flickr you arrive at his/her photostream so you get to see the latest uploads. It is with About that Showcase is shown. With a free account you can have only 4 collections I understand. I've never used collections, wheras I have 50 albums. Henk

Well done. Surprising for "city birding" - looks more like a rural area. Love "The Perch". You know the one about the young Indian Mynah? It flew back to it's nest from a cricket match & declared that it had just made a deposit on a new Mercedes Benz! Alan C On 03-Apr-22 06:58 AM, Subash
