Then I got the 80-400, so this has sat in its box and I've hardly touched it.
So it should go.
It's the AF version.
Here's the caveat:
The zoom ring has some play, so you simply keep it pulled back when
turning it.

In that type of shutter, it looks like wide angle lens for a 2x3 (or

There was a time when "art" was reduced to include any and all expressions and
the term really became meaningless. There was nothing to distinguish art from
non-art. It was wholely subjective.

Yes, it's early.
But I've got a good reason. Really I do. Trust me.
The plan is to run down to Cord after work and pick up a DS kit.
But that will mean that I've got too much other equipment.
So ... a couple of things FS
1. The 18-55 zoom that comes with the kit. $100
2. Black MX & Winder.
Saturate the image with Red before doing the gray-scale conversion. It'll look
almost like having used a red filter
on b&w film when it was shot.

I've shot a few shots to compare the image centers and right edges. Nothing
scientific. Just looking at which are better.
I shot at 1/60, f3.5, and 1/250, f6.3.
FA50/1.4 Very Sharp
K30/2.8 Very Sharp
M75-150, Very Good results. Reasonably Sharp.
A50/1.7, Good results at 1/250. Mediocre at 1/6
The 21mm Tominon screw mount lens gives results similar to the A lenses. Get
to f8 and you're ok. Just don't shoot wider.

Converting the 22 RAW files to best JPG with the Laboratory
last night was a real time-eater -- on a 350MHz system.
And when I did the best TIFF format, Micrografx Picture Publisher (I forgot
which version) wouldn't load them properly.
So it was redone to JPG. 2x the fun.

For some reason my prints to the R200 ended up in 256-color mode. I've tried
various settings but can't get a true color

The High Speed USB 2.0 port may be practical for some but I prefer to change
cards. If you hook up the USB, and then open the camera card access door, it's
like unplugging a live USB device. Opening the door (rightly) powers down the
camera.

Add filteration to the image data.
Mount your LCD projector onto your enlarger chassis.

That's precisely my point.
With any K/M lens that spot is metal, meaning that it is shorted
as if it were always in the A position.
If the spot is open (disconnected) then the camera reads the
simulator arm aperture setting.
So, a closed pin means that the camera is supposed to control the
apertu
The exposure is good.
It's your film that's off
Just change film and your problem is solved!

I was in error.
The camera needs the "A" contact CLOSED to see an A lens.
Then it needs the coding to determine maximum aperture available.
Since the "A" pin is FLAT/Recessed on the body, M lenses don't
contact it.
Make all lenses permanently A by swapping the body flat pin for a
dome-topped pin t

The basic mod is pretty simple -- changing M to A.
And you don't have to modify anyting.
1) set the lens to the minimum aperture. f22, etc.
2) short the A pin to the body or lens. Use a piece of foil or 32 awg wire.

The E-1 vibrates dust off the sensor every time your turn it on.
Also, the 5Mp ratio is working out well.
And, the 4/3 ratio requires less cropping than the 6MP ratio
and so the net is close to the same pixels per image.
Looks like they've got a winner with some in-between features and
in-between
This is what I've observed in Columbus.
Also, the Blads are stacking up as well.
Even the RBs and old Mamiya TLRs are dropping nicely (for the buyer).
Besides, there are few 80s Pentax bodies available here.
Students are using them.
Relatively few s/m bodies remain in regular use.
