thanks for the tips and suggestions but since I have found a suitable replacement, I have decided to sell the Bokina for parts/repair on ebay. maybe someone out there knows how to fix this model economically and it might make sense acquiring it at a greatly reduced price as a fixer upper. jc

I don't think sticky aperture blades would be beyond his competency. Eric had a look at my Tokina and apparently didn't have any problems getting it apart & putting it back together. He was not able to fix it because there was a worn out part that he couldn't get a replacement for. I've since
