Ann, I can tell you that the cormorant was swimming very fast in a 
straight line to the swan and I feared what would happen next.
However the swan blowed and turned around and made some movements after 
which the cormorant decided to disappear.

So any conversation they had may not have been friendly.
Fortunately I had my camera ready, though not with the right lens 
(28-105) so I had to crop very much.
Usually my camera settings turn out to be completely wrong in such 
reflex situations, but this time it was OK.

I suspect the developers don’t understand European data protection rules and

I was trying to take photos of a power station at the river Sambre in
Charleroi, Belgium. No nest, no little ones, no apparent reason other
than their claim to the place.

Eventually, a kid of some seven years came along, spread his arms, ran
towards them and off they fled into the river, protesting vociferously. :-)

They do indeed. The seagulls in Dunkirk have trouble to find a streelamp
to sit on because of all the cormorants. No idea where they all come
from. 20 years ago, there were practically none at all.
