The way I interpret it is less about making England great again, more about
relying less - not at all even - on the EU dictating what England can and
cannot do. But really, if you join a club, you play by the rules right? Or you
lobby to change the rules with the agreement of other players through
democracy. Or you decide not to play any more.

Working in the media and having access to both pro and anti advocates, I can
understand both sides of the argument. What the vociferous pros and antis don't
seem to realise is that there is no gain without some pain (for the benefit of
the whole thing). Moderates realise this and we knuckle down and make best of
it.

I think I will relinquish this thread back to the OP, and go get dressed ready
to pick up Godfrey from his pub bed and breakfast. We have a little sightseeing
planned for today and I'm running late!

On 6/9/18, Daniel J. Matyola, discombobulated, unleashed:

>Will the UK survive all the fighting over Brexit?

Yes of course.

I think there will be some Picardpalms and maybe a bit of mayhem, definitely
there will be much gnashing of teeth, but nobody's gonna die, I hope. The whole
thing was a sham, the whole vote 'leave' campaign was a joke, and not enough
youngsters turned out to vote and well, there ya go. It's done now though so
there's no going back - the only thing I agree with T May about. It's a crying
shame but it's gonna happen. Actually Europe itself is terrified more than we
are. Just wait til we don't melt down, and things stabilise, and maybe even
prosper. It could still start an avalanche that could wreck the EU.

Things have a way of smoothing out.

There's much more danger from the likes of Putin I reckon.

You should try being in Italy, where you sometimes have to order and pay first
