wealth concentration, income distribution and poverty data with little
luck. Thankfully last fall Doug Henwood made available '93 census
data on poverty and incom

Excellent idea. As a non-economist who writes occasionally on economic
issues for a general audience, this would be an great resource. Also, I'd
find it especially helpful to have info that puts various economic facts in
context, such as comparing various categories of gov't expense to the size
The Census Bureau has just posted the historical income and poverty data on
their ftp site (ftp.census.gov). There's a couple of tables missing, which
I pointed out to them, and they promised a correction Monday.
